Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer® is a five-day course in the application of quantitative thermal imaging and temperature measurement for preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, quality assurance and forensic investigations. It covers advanced infrared theory, equipment calibration, error sources, cross-verification with contact thermometers, advanced equipment operation, the use of windows and filters, assigning temperature limits and repair priorities, and quantitative report generation. Tuition includes all course presentations, the Student Reference Manual and the Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® exam.
The Thermography Level 2 examination is an open-book exam of 60 multiple-choice questions. Certification is issued to students scoring 80% or higher, with a certification card and diploma.
Yes. The course is eligible for 35 NETA Continuing Technical Development Credits and is approved by the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors for 32 hours of continuing education. Infraspection Institute is recognised by SMRP as an approved provider of continuing education and training in subject areas related to reliability and physical asset management.
