The Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician credential is a globally respected certification that validates the technical knowledge and professional competency of maintenance personnel. This course prepares participants thoroughly for the CMRT exam with focused instruction on the four key domains of the certification: maintenance practices, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and analysis, and corrective maintenance.

Four domains. Maintenance practices: safety, health and environmental procedures, coordination with operations, lockout/tagout, tool inspection and use, measuring instruments, material handling, housekeeping and waste, and documentation in the maintenance management system. Preventive and predictive maintenance: performing PM and PdM to plan, condition monitoring and data collection, lubrication to schedule, alignment of rotating equipment, and inspection of safety systems. Troubleshooting and analysis: gathering information from work orders and operators, verifying problems by test and observation, reviewing technical documents, operating parameters and equipment history, and identifying root causes systematically. Corrective maintenance: confirming troubleshooting by inspection and disassembly, performing repairs to best practice, testing under normal operating conditions, and returning equipment safely to service.
